Nakovano celebration of 'Small Madonna' after invitation from Gordan

9kts downwind the next day to Korcula Island!

Korcula town is another, well preserved and restored medieval Croatian beauty

...with a great nighttime show we lucked in to

But Mljet is probably the most beautiful island of all. We stayed two nights...

Still enjoying late summer sun (this one for Conchi :-))
Z: We then head for Zagreb, the capital - peppers are favorite everywhere, especially this time of year (a little nap going on here..)
Z: The Austrian legacy of great baroque buildings like the opera in Zagreb, have been fully restored, but many buildings remain to be restored after decades of communist regimen neglect
Z: The largest cemetery in Europe has to be seen to be believed
Z: our great new friends from the sailing regatta 2 weeks before: Prof. Igor, Tonchi and Kxennia
Z: The lovely Lana (Vego's daughter) put us up for 3 nights at their house - such good memories!
We then flew back to Dubrovnik for a better look - in sunshine!
Tourists have thinned out a lot so the streets at night are just magic to stroll.
M: Now in Montenegro, a much poorer country, where we witnessed the total of SIX people emerge from this tiny (Polish flag) yacht the first morning. How they got here to Hercig Novi, we'll never know!
M: The market with some hard bitten faces, but some freindly smiles

M: Kotor is amazing - see blog

M: 250metres climb to see a map sized view of the medieval old town (Really!)

M: Surrounded by mountains, the Romans thought of Kotor as 'strangled' where is sits, 13 nm by sea from the entrance to the gulf of Kotor. A dead end, but having had no less than 20 countries as its rulers, it has to have something!

M: A church and cemetery built on stones (or sunken pirate ships, depending on the version you believe) ...

Has the most beautiful and surprising interior. We had to leave in a hurry for a tripper boat to moor where we were so no more to tell!
